What is the Mighty Dog Collective?
Say goodbye to researching and vetting pet professionals - The Might Dog Collective has done the legwork for you. Our comprehensive database of accredited dog professionals and products makes it easy to find something that fits your needs.

There is currently no regulation in the pet industry. Our non-profit organization provides the necessary regulation to make sure that you are getting quality care from safe and knowledgeable professionals. We want to raise the bar. Every company we have listed on our website has been personally met with by one of our Nerds who ensure they represent our Code of Ethics and Standards. MDC also helps customers address complaints and resolve issues by acting as a mediator in resolving disputes between businesses and consumers. Look for the MDC Logo to be sure that you are getting the best service possible and supporting these reputable companies that are a part of the Mighty Dog Collective.

The Mighty Dog Collective helps promote professional standards to ensure, as a whole, we are a self regulating body prior to potential governments coming in and creating regulations. By government officials coming in and setting standards without prior knowledge in the industry, it risks blurring what is important for our pets such as best practices, employee hand books, certification, education and experience. It won’t go unnoticed by the government for long but by having key practices in place beforehand, helps set us up for success if/when the governments step in.
MDC Screening Process
A professional member of our team meets with all potential Companies. We like ensure companies meet our standards and code of ethics. We also seek out and give special recognition to professionals confident in working with owners and their reactive dogs. Once a company meets with one of our professionals, they must sign an agreement to adhere to our standards and ethics while also completing an annual renewal application which includes a criminal record check. We look for companies that prioritize the needs of both owners and dogs, while also providing flexible and realistic solutions for each client. Organizations have the opportunity to be included in or excluded from the club if the community consensus is that standards and ethics are not being maintained and/or have been flagged.
Why Does MDC Include all Pet Industries?
MDC recognizes it is important to include all industries as every professional is learning something from each other. Through MDC, professionals can easily connect, share resources/information and feel confident when referring out. It’s a great source of camaraderie and connectivity. Together everyone achieves more.
How to Use MDC
Look for the MDC logo when selecting your favourite pet company. All Companies approved by MDC are also listed on our website. Consumer feedback helps keep our list updated, should you wish to promote a company that you feel deserves to be a part of Might Dog Collective please Tell Us. Have a complaint about one of the MDC companies, Tell Us in our feedback section.
What Kind of Companies can be a Part of the Mighty Dog Collective?
We offer an inclusive platform that welcomes companies of all categories (groomers, pet sitters, boarding kennels, dog trainers, vets, nutritionists, health care specialists, dog walkers, pet supplies). We are unbiased in the training methods and techniques our listed professionals use. No two dogs are the same which we like to reflect by promoting companies who are flexible in their methods and techniques but have been proven to support reactive dog behaviour. All companies must pass our screening and standards to ensure they adhere to our code of ethics. All humans and animals deserve to be treated with respect.

The more support we receive the more dogs and owners we can help. Your support helps develop a self regulating body prior to potential governments coming in and creating regulations.
